Some members travel further afield to events such as the Victory Show and the War And Peace Show.
Our aim is to provide a friendly community for Authentic Second World War Re-enactors as well as showcasing static displays at events.
One of our members, Des, has taken the role of PR and Advertisement of WWII Re-enactment South West nationally and also locally when possible.
Des will now be pitching the WWII Re-enactment South West marquee at the War and Peace show, Chatham dockyard and our local events.
Further spreading the word of authentic Second World War Re-enactment in South West England and South Wales.
If you see the marquee, pop over and have a chat!

WWII Re-enactment South West at "Heroes at Highclere"

A few members of WWII Re-enactment South West attended the 'Heroes at Highclere' Armed Forces Charities Day (Sunday 16th October 2011), over 9,000 people had pre-purchased tickets and during the day, public gate receipts were in excess of 10,000.
A fantastic new female vocal trio called 'Swingtime Sweethearts' gave the 40s entertainment and they were exceptional. Some familiar faces were there, Viv the Spiv and the Screaming Eagles 101st Airborne Living History Group, along with the superb turn out of nurses in the house itself.
Approximately 100-150 re-enactors were in attendance, particularly good were the Great War Society and the Rifles Re-enactment group with there Dunkirk Display.
Really a day to remember and hopefully one to be repeated next year.
(If you did not already know, Highclere Castle is the filming location for the hit ITV Drama series 'Downton Abbey')
